The Russian Market offers the same items for sale as the Central Market but on a much smaller scale.

Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Located on the Esplanade
The Russian Orthodox Cathedral is located at one end of a large park, the Esplanade. The church is from the 19th Century and during Russian occupation, the church was used as a planetarium. It is here that my master, Diana, is dropped off or catches the bus to return home. Using mass transit is far easier than having a car in the Old Town or downtown Riga. Finding a legal parking place is difficult and also expensive. Just ask Ed, he has already paid 15 Lats to have a bright pink boot removed from our car.
Riga, Latvia Central Market
A cheese vendor/bread vendor/honey stand all inside the Central Market. Riga brought in 5 enormous zeppelin hangars from the town of Vainode to handle the ever expanding market. There is over 57,000 square meters of space inside the hangars as well as plenty of room outside for additional vendors to sell their goods. A wonderful fun place to spend some time and also pick up items for dinner.
